On 2nd march, 2017, During my Bsc Agriculture studies at centurion university, Paralakhemundi Odisha visited the krishi vigyan kendra (KVK) situated in Gunupur , Odisha & it has been one of the best knowledge seeking tour in my life.
I am also thankful to Mr.Binod behera (extension officer , KVK, Gunupur ) who explained us about all the agriculture works carried out inside the KVK

Here are some photos of the visited kvk attached & well described....

This KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA ( KVK ) situated in Gunupur , Odisha  was established on 2013 and it functions under the rules & regulations of OUAT (orissa university of agriculture & technology ). It functions for the farmers of that locality and is connecting  the local farmers with all new developed agriculture technologies. It encourages the farmers to cultivate some new varities of different crops along with different cropping patterns. It also employs women in different farm operations inside its boundary.

Garden inside KVK : A well maintained formal garden with different flower and fruit trees adds an extra beauty to kvk.

An attractive aquarium with colorful fishes

The KVK  members have really worked for the rural farmers and have instilled in them a confidence of taking risks in agriculture practices by teaching them all techniques in a understanding way.
These photos reveals the work of the KVK staff for agriculture development in terms of increase in production in this area.

This picture is of a well-constructed greenhouse setup inside  the KVK ,which enables  in growing  of different  crop varities under favourable climatic  conditions .
